Next Milestone: Developer publishes EIS

Once the EIS has been published, the community only has 14 days to respond.

The proposal is for two buildings of around 10 storeys, delivering 154 apartments, including 32 affordable housing units. The affordable housing component is critical, as it allows the developer to access approximately 30% additional height and density above standard planning controls.

The City of Canada Bay Council is already at 157% of its housing target, but the State does not assess these projects based on whether an area has “done enough,” but on whether additional development can be supported by infrastructure and whether cumulative impacts have been properly considered.
