Around 300 people came to Goddard Park on to support Doing Density Better. The community attending this event is committed to more housing, especially more affordable housing. The lack of planning for additional infrastructure to support the proposed growth is what communities are voicing concerns about, and those concerns are being ignored by the State Government.

This event brought together State Politicians, Councilors and Community Advocates to elaborate on what their views are on this topic. The Premier was invited but didn’t even bother to reply, The Minister for Planning and Public Spaces declined as he was unavailable.

On the 7th July 2026, representatives from 26 action groups across the Sydney region came together at NSW Parliament House for the launch of Doing Density Better. Wendy Harmer hosted and facilitated the meeting that included speakers from action groups in Drummoyne, Concord West /North Strathfield, Mosman, Chatswood, Potts Point, Burwood North as well as urban design specialists Elizabeth Farrelly and Professor Philip Thalis
